Tileable wall niche

The wall niches are suitable for installation in solid walls as well as stud partitions. In connection with an optionally already pre-prepared sealing sleeve, which overlaps by approx. 5 cm, a safe seal of the all-round joints is ensured. Fast and accurate installation without complex constructions is thus possible. With PROBOX Basic wall niches, shelves can be cost-effectively realised in shower and bath areas in different sizes.

PROBOX Basic wall niches consist of building slabs with a waterproof core. The building slabs do not absorb rising moisture, and are resistant against permanent strain from moisture and damp conditions, are lightweight and easy to use. Ideal conditions for extremely diverse applications, e.g., in rooms where moisture loads are to be expected. Mosaic coverings, tiles or natural stone slabs can be glued to the surfaces, or plaster and screeding compounds can be applied. The building slabs used are ideal for quick and creative extensions without drying times. In the core, the building slabs consist of a closed-cell polystyrene rigid foam (XPS) produced without CFC and HCFC with thermal insulation characteristics. The surfaces of the building slabs are reinforced with a tempered special mortar, and coated with an alkali-resistant glass fibre mesh. A specially developed production process ensures optimum embedding of the glass fibre mesh into the special mortar. This further improved the mechanical properties of the building slabs, which is reflected amongst others in excellent pressure resistance, improved bond strength of the tile adhesive on the building slab, and an increased shear strength.
