New EPS carrier element for Prochannel

New system component simplifies installation and saves work time

Floor-level showers are the current trend. Meanwhile, designed without trip hazards are very popular for people of all ages even without a handicap. In fact floor-level showers have become the central highlight in aesthetic and modern bathrooms. Prochannel drainage systems meet all the demands of design-oriented bathrooms. In the past, tiles in the shower area were laid to allow water to flow to a central drainage point. Now, the design of Prochannel linear drainage systems makes a significant contribution to providing tiled, floor-level showers with a striking visual appearance.

Prochannel, the successful linear drainage system from Proline Systems, has now been expanded by a new EPS carrier system which simplifies installation, so saving valuable work time. The carrier element made of expanded polystyrene dispenses with otherwise painstaking adjustments to the feet. It is available in lengths from 50 to 100 cm and, in conjunction with the integrated drain pan, allows a maximum drainage flow of 0.7 litre per second. A minimum height of 8.5 cm is required for installation. The sealing sleeve is already pre-assembled at the factory and needs not be fitted on site.

Prochannel offers a choice between two channel systems: Prochannel p-line with primary drainage and Prochannel s-line with primary and secondary drainage. The two channel systems are part of an identical modular system. Together with drain pans and seals which were subjected to in-system testing, they ensure reliable and long-lasting safety. Due to its attractive appearance and refined technology the Prochannel system has convincing features in floor-level showers. It offers a free choice of drain pans to adapt to the installation height, an ultra flat solution with stainless steel grilles or tile recesses as well as system accessories such as wall covers, slope profiles and glass carrier profiles. The new EPS carrier element is part of the Prochannel s-line product range. Prochannel s-line meets the highest demands when it comes to design but also permits practical one-sided slopes. The linear drainage system is installable by the wall, in the centre or at the entrance to the shower alcove or bathroom. Several variants of slope-free floor surfaces can be implemented by selecting from several drainage line housings or by applying custom solutions. This type of construction integrates and supports the drainage line housing in screed structures. By using large-format tiles or natural stone, a spacious look is achievable with an uninterrupted surface free from valley cuts. The floor covering and the drain form a single unit due to the carrier element forming a show gap. In addition there is a range of 7 different design grilles which allow you to set the creative tone.
